We say goodbye and good luck to Tahmina and Janina
Today we are announcing to our Joy community that two of our Joy staff members will be saying goodbye at the end of this Term.

Tahmina started with us almost exactly 5 years ago. Since joining, Tahmina soon earned our admiration as she formed positive and heartfelt relationships with the children. She has had many roles, most notably for her time in the K3 class as its assistant, and the K1 and K2 class as a Head Teacher. She has shown vision, hard work, dedication and a drive to bring her true passion, science, into the classroom. Sadly, Tahmina will be leaving us as of March 21st for personal reasons and we wish her the best of luck in all of her future endeavors. Please see a message from Tahmina below:

Dear Parents,
It is with a heavy heart that I write to let you know I will soon be leaving Joy because of personal reasons. These past six years have been some of the most meaningful of my life, and the decision to leave was not an easy one.
Working at Joy has been a privilege, and what has truly made it special is the opportunity to connect with your children and your families. Watching your children grow, learn, and discover their potential has been an indescribable joy. Every moment spent in the classroom — every breakthrough, every smile, every laugh — has been a gift I will always treasure.
I feel incredibly grateful for the trust and support you have shown me over the years. You welcomed me into this community with open arms and made me feel like part of your extended family. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your children’s journeys.
As I step into this next chapter, I will carry with me countless memories of Joy and all the wonderful people who have touched my life here. I sincerely hope our paths cross again someday.
Until then, I wish you and your families nothing but happiness, success, and countless cherished moments.
With all my heart,
Tahmina Amani

Janina is one of our longest serving Joy staff members, beginning her journey at Joy back in 2012. In her 13 years at Joy to the World, Janina was most known for her role as the Pre-K Head Teacher. She has been a loving, dedicated and committed caretaker for the children, and a teacher who built trust with families who chose Joy to the World as their school community. Her unwavering smile, her gentle encouragement for young learners and enthusiastic inclusion of all students has made her a valuable presence for Joy’s students, staff and families. Therefore, we are very heavy-hearted to announce that Janina will be ending her time at Joy to the World as of March 28th to focus on her health and a new chapter in her life. Please see a message from Janina below:

Dear Joy Families,
I can’t believe this incredible chapter of my life at Joy has come to an end. It’s time for me to say goodbye. Though my farewell may feel sudden, I hope you understand that this decision was not easy for me. In fact, it has been the hardest decision I’ve had to make in my entire life in Japan. Joy has been more than just a workplace… It has been my second home. These past 13 years working with you have been filled with unforgettable moments, invaluable lessons, and friendships that I will always cherish.
From Orientation Day to PTMs, from Sports Day to Halloween Parties to Final Performances, from spring to summer to winter programs, from daily lessons to spontaneous laughter… Every moment with the children and with all of you has been a gift. I will cherish these memories forever and hold them close as stories to tell for a lifetime.
Now, as I step forward to focus on my health and family, I leave with nothing but gratitude. Though this chapter ends, the Joy family will always have a special place in my heart. Wishing and praying for your continued success, happiness, and endless smiles.
Thank you for the opportunity to work alongside you. I am forever grateful for the ways you’ve shaped my journey, and I hope I’ve been able to do the same for you.
With so much love and respect,
Janina

To Tahmina and Janina, I am sure I speak for our entire Joy community to wish you both luck in the future and to express the incredible amount of appreciation we have for positive influence you have had in the children’s lives.
Regarding next term, we are happy to announce that a familiar face, Hamid, will be taking over the K2 class and, as we say goodbye to K3 who will graduate, he looks forward to continuing with K2 class through discovery, learning and growth. As for the Pre-K class, we will be happy to welcome a new face soon and will announce to the school once we have arranged for a suitable replacement to take on the Head Teacher role.
Thank you once again to Tahmina and Janina and please leave knowing you have our full support and appreciation.
