Onsite Summer Fun 2020 and Coronavirus

At Joy to the World, we take student safety very seriously. At this time, we are planning to open our Summer Fun 2020 as planned. Please check our COVID-19 pages to see what sort of measures we are taking to ensure the safety of our students and staff during this time.

Can I receive a refund if I feel uncomfortable sending my child to Summer Fun due to Coronavirus?

If you decide not to participate in the Onsite Summer Fun 2020, tuition and fees can be applied to any future program or service at Joy to the World. To credit your Summer Fun 2020 tuition and fees to a future program, you must cancel by July 10, 2020.

Will there be a fee if I want to apply my fee to future classes?

In this case, there will be no Change of Schedule fee for applying your tuition and fees to future programs at Joy to the World.

What if I will not be attending future programs at Joy to the World, can I get a refund?

If you decide not to participate in the Onsite Summer Fun 2020 due to issues involving the Coronavirus, and you will not be joining any future programs at Joy to the World, you can get a refund for Summer Fun 2020 fees. Cancelations must be made by July 10, 2020, and will incur a 5% processing/cancellation fee. Refunds will be disbursed at the end of August 2020.

Is there a deadline to cancel, and how can I cancel?

The deadline to cancel the Onsite Summer Fun 2020 admission to receive a credit or refund is July 10, 2020. There will be a link to a form on the Summer Fun Welcome page. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to write to us at: admissions@joytotheworld.info

Onsiteサマーファン2020への参加をしないと決断された場合、既にお支払いいただいたプログラム参加費はJoy to the Worldの今後のプログラムやサービスにクレジットとして充当していただくことが可能です。サマーファン2020の参加費を今後のプログラム等に充当させるには、必ず2020年7月10日までにキャンセルの手続きを行ってください。



今後のJoy to the Worldのいかなるプログラムにも参加予定がない場合返金はしてもらえますか?

コロナウイルスに関連する懸念によりOnsiteサマーファン2020に参加しないことを決断された場合で、今後Joy to the Worldのいかなるプログラムにもご参加予定がない場合はサマーファン2020のプログラム参加費は返金いたします。この場合のキャンセル手続きは必ず2020年7月10日までに行ってください。なお、この場合は5%の手数料/キャンセル料がかかります。 払い戻しは2020年8月末にいたします。

Onsite Summer Fun 2020:
Learn, play, meet new friends, and have fun!

Summer Fun is a chance for children to spend their days exploring new ideas through songs, crafts, and games.

Our English-speaking environment supports our regular Joy Members and is an excellent chance for children with no experience to join the fun.

We want summer to be a great memory for every child, so please be sure to sign-up and join the fun.

Enjoy games, water play at the park, crafts and more!

Class Details (Onsite Program)

AM Extended Care 有料延長保育
8:15 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
Our AM Extended Care is for parents who need to drop off their children before the regular program starts.
Regular Program
9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
After the morning circle, classes will learn songs or make crafts before heading to the park. After park time we have lunch and then finish the day with more fun activities.

Although we love to go outside as much as possible, we will make decisions about outdoor safety in regards to extreme heat and may stay indoors on some days.
Free Extended Care 無料延長保育
1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Our free extended care is available to all students of our Summer Fun program.

Although the main activities for the day are over, we sometimes keep working on unfinished crafts, have a group storytime, or  play!
PM Extended Care 有料延長保育
3:00 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.
PM Extended Care is open until 6:45 p.m. and is a mixed-age program. During PM Extended Care, we will have a small snack and have various activities and playtimes.

Paid Extended Care

Summer Program Extended Care tickets will be available at the Joy the World School Office starting July. Summer tickets can only be used during the Summer Fun Program.

3:00 - 6:45 (¥3600)

Instead of Extended Care tickets, you can choose an extended care package that is good for the whole week.

During the Summer Fun program you can wear any Yellow shirt, Joy Uniform, or our exclusive Summer Fun T-Shirt!

Each shirt is ¥700 and can be ordered during you sign-up!

Program Details


After signing up online, you will receive an email with an enrollment confirmation. If you do not receive this email, please call the school immediately. You application will not be processed/submitted if you did not receive the confirmation email. Invoices will be emailed to the address used during the sign-up.  

Important Rules

1. For families using our Early Bird Discount, please be sure to pay your invoice by the due date. If your payment is late, and you did not contact the office, the Early Bird Discount will not apply.

2. If you add another week of the program after the Early Bird Discount deadline, you will still receive the multi-week discount, but will lose the Early Bird Discount.  (You can add another week/s only if seats are available. Please understand that the bus may not be available for weeks added after your original sign-up.)

3. Based on availability, you may be able to add a week(s) after June 20. In that case, each week will be charged the full 1 week price. No multi-week discounts will apply.

4. There are no refunds or make-ups for absences for any reason. If you are signed-up for late or early extended care, there is also no refund or make-ups for time lost by being late, or leaving early.

5. Children with food allergies may need to provide their own lunch or supplement their lunch. Please call for details. There is no discount or change in the tuition in this case.

6. Changing weeks after applying:Please call us if you would like to change the week.After you call us, we will send you the link to the “Change of Status” form via e-mail for you to fill out.Please understand that we may not be able to change the week(s) you signed up for if it is already full or if a bus schedule change cannot be provided.The change of status fee is ¥2,000. It is non-refundable

7. T-shirt color or size changes are not allowed. If you need another color or size, please make another order.

8. Program cancellation:
If you cancel the program, a cancellation fee will be charged.
25% cancellation fee will be required 1 day after application date.
50% cancellation fee will be required 1 week after application date.
100% cancellation fee will be required 2 weeks after application date.

There will be a 100% cancellation fee once you make a payment regardless of your payment due date. Including Credit card, cash or bank transfers for payments.

※ All cancellation fees and change fees will not be incurred if you can contact us by telephone before 6:00pm or email by 12:00 midnight on the day of application. We ask you to be very careful in making your decision for the program’s weeks and bus service in order to avoid extra cost/fees.
1. 早期割引期間中にお申込みをされた場合、後日メールにてお渡しいたしますご請求書上に記載のご納入期日までがお申込みいただいたプログラムへの早期割引対象となります。当校オフィスへのご連絡無くご納入期日を過ぎた場合につきましては、ご請求金額が変わりますのでお気をつけください。

2. 早期割引期間終了後に追加週をお申込みいただいた場合、追加週分を合わせての合計週でのご請求となる為、複数週受講することによる割引対象とはなりますが、期間中にお申込みいただいていた分の早期割引の対象は失われますことをご了承ください。(追加週のお申込みは、空席がある場合のみお受けいたします。追加週お申し込みの場合、追加週分のバスご利用はお受けできない可能性がありますことをご了承ください。)

3. 空席状況によっては6月20日以降もお申込みを受付ける可能性があります。この場合、複数週のお申込みの場合でも割引は無く、各週1週間毎の料金にてのご請求となります。

4. お申込みされた週のプログラム期間内、如何なる理由でのご欠席、遅刻、早退につきましても返金、または振替等は行っておりません。

5. 食物アレルギーがあるお子様の場合、ランチはご自分でご用意しいて頂くか、アレルギー対象のメニューのみ替えの物をお持ちいただく可能性があります。詳しくはオフィスまでお問合せください。尚、この場合でもプログラム参加費は変わりませんのでご了承ください。

6. お申込後の週の変更:変更をご希望の場合はお電話ください。お電話いただいた後、”Change of Status”フォームのリンクをEメールにてお送りいたしますのでご入力を行ってください。定員の関係につきご案内ができない場合やバススケジュールの変更ができない場合もございますが、変更ができなかった場合でもお手数料のご返金等はいたし兼ねますのでご了承ください。(変更手数料/ ¥2,000)

7. Tシャツのカラー・サイズ変更とキャンセル:カラー・サイズの変更、キャンセル、ご返金等は一切受け付けておりません。別の色、またはサイズが必要な場合は追加にてご注文をお願いいたします。

8. プログラムのキャンセル:プログラムをキャンセルした場合はキャンセル料が発生いたします。 


※ 上記全ての変更手数料やキャンセル料はお申込みいただいた日の午後6時までにお電話いただくか、同日深夜12時までにEメールにてご連絡いただいた場合は発生いたしませんが、過ぎてしまうと発生いたします。以上、余分な費用やお手数料を避ける為に、プログラムの週やバスのお申込み内容(お時間や日数、場所を含む)、Tシャツのサイズやカラーなどについても十分ご検討いただいた上でのお申し込みをお願いいたします。
