Joy Family BBQ 2026

July 4, 2026 · Yumenoshima Outdoor Square, Tokyo

A Summer Evening of Friendship, Fun & Togetherness

This summer, Joy to the World introduced something new: our first Family BBQ, organized for our Morning Program families. We were delighted by the warm response from the moment the event was announced and by the wonderful participation on the day.

A Warm Summer Welcome

We met at Yumenoshima Outdoor Square in the late afternoon, when the summer heat was beginning to ease. Families arrived at our reserved outdoor space, checked in and settled down to relax. Our staff, together with some families, helped prepare the grills, while food was prepared both by our team and the venue. The children enjoyed the freedom of the open space and the opportunity to spend time together.

Games, Laughter & Family Fun

Our teachers organized outdoor games in a separate open area where everyone had plenty of room to move and play. The children enjoyed familiar activities with their teachers, while families joined in or cheered them on. It was a lovely opportunity to share moments together outside the classroom.

Good Food and Evening Memories

After the games, everyone returned for the BBQ. As the evening grew darker and the venue's lights came on, families enjoyed delicious food, snacks and conversation. The children continued playing outdoors with friends while families and teachers connected in the relaxed summer atmosphere.

More Than a BBQ

For us, a school community grows not only through learning but also through shared experiences. This first Family BBQ brought families and staff together in a new way, and we hope it becomes a tradition that can eventually welcome even more of our Joy families.

Thank You, Joy Families!

Thank you to every family who joined us and helped make our first Family BBQ such a memorable occasion. We look forward to many more opportunities to celebrate and create memories together.
